Set up email sender

By default, your email sender is the address you used to register on Quentn. If you want to send from a different email address or set up another one, please proceed as follows:

  • In the menu, click on Emails and Senders
  • Click on the green button "Add sender email"
  • For Sender type, you can choose between Default and Quentn domain.

Sender Type: Default

If you already have your own sender domain (NOT a freemail address like gmail, googlemail, gmx, web.de etc.), select this type. Then enter the additional email address under Sender email, and in the other fields enter the first and last name as well as the company.

If you tick Use as default, this email sender address will always be preselected.

Once you have saved this, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you just entered. Click on the link to confirm that you are the holder of the address you entered.

Sender Type: Quentn domain

If you have a freemail address (@web.de, @gmail.com, @gmx.net etc.), we recommend you choose a Quentn domain as your sender address.

Although delivery is technically possible, the delivery rate would be significantly lower in this case, as DKIM and SPF checks would come back negative. Lots of emails are sorted out in advance by the recipient's provider and treated as spam. This means they would not reach the intended destination, i.e. the inbox, at all. This does not help anyone.

Therefore, select the sender type "Quentn domain" and then enter the desired address (@quentn-mail.de is already entered).

Then specify an email to which incoming emails should be forwarded.

If you tick Use as default, this email sender address will always be preselected.

Once you have saved this, a confirmation email will be sent to the forwarding address. Click on the link to confirm that you are the holder of the address you entered.
